Güllaç is the most important dessert of the Ottoman Turkish tradition special for Ramadan. Güllaç takes its name from the rose water put into it. Our students had a great time making this dessert. They know their culture and learn by doing.
MATERIALS
Gullac
Sugar
Milk
Walnut
Fruit to decorate
Rose water
PREPARATION OF
Mix sugar and milk and heat on the stove
Soak gullacs in milk.
Add walnuts and wrap
Shape and decorate with fruit
